Johannesburg Youth Orchestra
This vibrant orchestra was formed in 1976 and is the company’s flagship group. 
The JYO is conducted by Eddie Clayton. It is a full symphony orchestra, catering for students who are 25 years or younger. They play stringed, wind and percussion instruments. The orchestra consists of 58 members this year.
The group’s repertoire includes popular contemporary, light as well as serious classical music. The Johannesburg Youth Orchestra is well known throughout the city and even further afield.
