Instrument Repair
Instrument repair Apprenticeships are designed to equip students with practical skills to be able to offer an instrument repair service to schools and professional musicians and start their own businesses.
In 2007, we began a pilot project where four students were introduced to instrument repair with two instrument repair master technicians.
The course runs from February to November for eight hours a week training students in the technical skills associated with repairing and building orchestral instruments.
Four students will continue to work weekly learning different aspects of repairing and maintaining stringed instruments
